eBay is getting more and more interesting and we’ve found another alteration worth sharing! This time, someone is selling his 2005′s Dawgmoth’s Kill altered by Ron Spencer. It’s not one of the best alterations I’ve seen, but it’s a fun one! And, if we compared to what people is paying nowadays, I’d say it’s a cheap one!

This is probably the sickest alteration I’ve seen by Terese Nielsen on a Force of Will. It features her brother’s, Ron Spencer, most epic card: Yawgmoth’s Will. It has such a strength that I can’t stop watching it. This alteration represents Vintage int its pure state. The eternal fight between Yawgmoth’s Will and Force of Will.

She might not take any more commissions but she seems to be very active lately! Newest alteration from Terese Nielsen features Mark Tedin‘s Necropotence, in what it seems to be a homage to Mr. Tedin’s work! Simply amazing!

Yet another awesome alteration by Terese Nielsen. This time, Terese upgrades her series of “Burnt” Force of Will(s) by adding Mark Tedin‘s Sol Ring. Amazing match! There’s an update on her Alteration Policy for those who are interested on having her commisioning a playset for you. The note from her blog reads as it follows:

“I get hundreds of requests to alter Force of Will’s for people.  I do take commissions every so often, but my current strategy is to not take on more than I can finish in a couple months time. I plan on finishing my current list of commissions by the end of May, and will be opening up my schedule to take on a few more commissions in June. If you’re one of the people that have been interested in having me customize your cards (and are familiar with what they sell for) then feel free to contact me with your basic idea and I’ll give you a price quote.”

He’s got pretty economic fares and that’s really nice from him! Use your money now before he reaches the same status than Terese and Ron!

Once again, Terese Nielsen surprises us with her latest alteration. This time she’s altered a Force of Will with another movie character, featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger from Terminator. If you want to get your hands on this card, you can bid on its eBay auction site.

As a bonus track, Terese Nielsen on her personal blog has shown us another Arnold Schwarzenegger alteration featuring Connan!

Personally, I like a lot more the Terminator one. The details and the lights make it lot smoother to my sight.

Actualmente en eBay podéis encontrar 2 cartas alteradas por Terese Nielsen y Ron Spencer respectivamente. La alteración de Terese Nielsen no es nueva, sino del 2006, pero el propietario de ella ha decidido venderse toda su colección incluyendo este Force of Will con Han Solo dibujado en él:

Por su lado, Ron Spencer, decidido a seguir produciendo alteraciones para los freaks como yo, nos regala con otra joyita:

Tengo que reconocer que esta última alteración me parece poco legal ya que se asemeja demasiado a la Necropotence y podría causar confusión en las mesas. De todos modos, la alteración está excelente, como siempre.

Terese Nielsen sabe como sacar petróleo a su arte. En esta ocasión ha lanzado un DVD con el making of de su última alteración (la podéis encontrar 2 entradas más abajo) en donde explica sus secretos, técnicas, etc…

Terese Nielsen está imparable y su ritmo de trabajo no cesa. En esta ocasión Terese altera un Force of Will con la mítica Library of Alexandria de Mark Poole en llamas. Aquí os la dejo:

Hoy me topé con una nueva alteración de Terese Nielsen en eBay. Curiosamente, ésta ya no es un Force of Will, sino un Fact or Fiction. La alteración en sí es bastante pobre y simplona aunque el motivo es bastante freak xDDDD (Todo hay que decirlo, los dibujos de Beavis and Butthead no es que tengan más calidad gráfica que los de la alteración de Terese Nielsen).

Una nueva alteración de Terese Nielsen y esta vez con un trasfondo muy político y actual. Sinceramente me parece excelente el motivo de la alteración así como el acabado y realización de la misma. Los americanos están realmente de enhorabuena por el cambio de presidente y espero que esto nos afecte, para bien, a todos en cierta medida. Sin duda alguna el Sr. Barack Obama está llevando a cabo una auténtica revolución en la política americana tomando medidas realmente sabias y modernas. Desde aquí no me queda más que felicitar a los lectores americanos del blog por el cambio.

Referente a la alteración, Terese Nielsen escribe en su blog unas palabras bastante interesantes:

It’s been said that President Obama collected comics in his earlier days, and according to the articles, he was a fan of Spiderman, Conan and Batman. Me? I was a fan of Black Panther, Conan, and Xmen. So, if he’s cool enough to read comics, he gets my vote. I’m pretty sure Bush didn’t. Comic books and graphic novels use big words, and that would’ve been challenging for him.

I am ecstatic to have the Bush Empire out of office, and look forward to Obama being a “Force of Change”, not the least of which is banning torture. The fact that America participates in that and other heinous activities makes me absolutely nauseous. It’s hard to say what Obama will be able to accomplish, but at least it looks like we’re heading in a more enlightened direction.

I hope you enjoy my latest altered card celebrating President Barack Hussein Obama’s inauguration. It was created using acrylic and oil, and wow, is it ever tough to paint a teeny little portrait that’s no more than 8mm high. My size 1 brush just wasn’t small enough and all of my size 0 and 00 were in terrible shape. My rule of thumb on normal illustration jobs is to never paint a head that’s smaller than 1 inch high. Did you notice the cards date is signed in red, the title painted in white, and my signature in blue?

Esta mujer me fascina cada vez más. No sólo por su capacidad artística sino también por su manera de ser y de pensar. Espero que siga haciendo muchísimas más alteraciones y así poder disfrutar cada día más de su arte.

El Sr. Ron Spencer vuelve a la carga y esta vez con un alteración muy similar a la que se va a dar de premio para el campeón de la combinada en los torneos de Legacy y Vintage del III Bazaar of Moxen. Me parece genial la idea y la ejecución de la alteración:

Esta sí que podemos decir que es la primera alteración que Terese Nielsen hace en el 2009. Sinceramente no me termina de convencer. Ha intentado hacer lo que su hermano (Ron Spencer) hizo el año pasado con su serie Power9 de alteraciones, y el resultado creo que podría haber estado muchísimo mejor. Además, le ha pintado unas garras a lo “Wolverine” que muy bien no sé que pintan xD

Hubiera molado bastante más si el tío hubiera sido el mismo personaje que dibujó Mark Poole para la carta Ancestral Recall. De todos modos, estoy convencido de que la calidad de la alteración es excelente.

La primera alteración de Ron Spencer del 2009 no me acaba de convencer… La alteración tiene calidad, eso es indudable, pero sinceramente la idea no está demasiado bien resuelta.

Ron Spencer, el hermano de Terese Nielsen, nos sorprende nuevamente con una nueva alteración para la página de subastas eBay. En esta ocasión la alteración sigue la temática de las cartas míticas de Vintage y se marca una Library of Alexandria bastante espectacular

Os recuerdo también que Terese Nielsen tiene un Force of Will bastante espectacular a la venta en eBay. Una excelente ocasión para “pimpear” un poco más vuestros mazos.

Parece que Terese Nielsen se está animando a alterar cartas y esta vez nos deleita con un Force of Will bastante singular. Desconozco la técnica que ha usado para realizar el efecto quemado pero, sinceramente, le ha quedado MUY bien. Os dejo con la imagen y con el link a la puja de eBay:
