You might have noticed that lately we haven’t been posting much, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have things to explain! Let me begin with the off-topic:

Personally, I’ve been loaded with work the past couple of weeks (which I can’t complain about) and that’s taken really a lot of time. On top of that, last week I found a new apartment in Barcelona to where I’ll be moving soon. The thing with the apartment also took me a lot of time, you know… visits, meetings to negotiate the contract, etc, etc… If there’s one thing I love about my new apartment are its views!

I guess the moving to the new apartment will also reduce my free time, but I’ll do my best to keep you guys updated. Hope you understand!

And now let’s move back to the mtg related stuff. I hope to be able to announce something in the following days that will benefit the “pimp” community a lot. I can’t give you more information right now, but I can advance you it’s something huge. You’ll just have to be a bit patient!

Also, hopefully this weekend we’ll have a post with a very exclusive sales. A friend of mine is willing to sell a couple of really rare staples (I mean REALLY rare, caps intended) and I’ve offered him to use the blog as his publicity platform. If you are a collector or you like to play with rare stuff, you’d better stay tuned for the following days.

Regarding JACO, he’s disappeared! Hope he’ll be back soon to surprise us with his awesome articles, MOL reports, etc…

JACO asked me if I could repost the video we recorded 2 years ago at GP Madrid. In the video, mr. Tedin draws JACO’s playmat, what I believe, is the best art he did in the whole weekend; a Drain-hearted Necropotence. I hope you guys enjoy the video again!

Excelente artículo, nuevamente, del gran Jason Jaco (aka JACO). Muchos de vosotro tuvisteis la suerte de conocer a Jason en persona en Madrid y, para los que no tuvieron tal suerte, Jason os va regalando poco a poco artículos de muy buen nivel para que le vayáis conociendo mejor.

Se han escrito ya muchos reviews de SoA y su impacto en Vintage pero, sinceramente, JACO en su artículo lo borda. Sin más preámbulos, os dejo con una pequeña reseña y un link al artículo:

When Wizards of the Coast releases a new Magic expansion every few months, the Magic community in general is abuzz with excitement. It means new draft pools, new Standard and Block Constructed decks, as well as a few cards that may impact Extended. Players of the Eternal formats (Vintage and Legacy) have come to understand that there may be a few crumbs here and there for them to pick up on, but that by and large the new cards and sets are not designed for their use. By Wizards’ own admissions, they are unable to test older formats due to time and resource constraints, so many of the cards are not tested to see how they will play out in Vintage or Legacy.

Siempre hemos seguido muy de cerca los resultados de los torneos que organiza Ben Carp, aka Gunsliga, desde el Team ICBM en USA.

El pasado 13 de Julio se dieron cita en New Berlin, USA (no confundir con Alemania!) 37 jugadores para competir por los 2 Moxes que había de premio. De entre los participantes destacan nombres como: Tommy Kolowith, Owen Turtenwald o Jason Jaco entre otros.

A continuación os pongo toda la información facilitada por Gunslinga, junto con las barajas del Top8.
